In 2002 Michelangelo's David (Accademia, Florence
1501-1504) needs restoration. However in the academic world
there was a controversy under specialists how to do the restoration
of the famous statue. Some believe that cleaning with chemicals
(wet process) is the best. Others believe that a dry method
of cleaning is the most appropriate (dry process). The Dutch
sculpting team show and comment on this controversy of this
great artist. |
